Whether you are a fan of a full-on fry-up, or simply crave a croissant in the morning, North Devon Hospice’s Big Breakfast event is right up your street, quite literally! This month sees fundraising breakfast events pop up right across North Devon, so there is bound to be one close to you that you can go and enjoy.
Now in its eleventh year, Big Breakfast is a way of communities getting together for a bountiful brekkie and making a donation to North Devon Hospice for the fabulous food they’ve eaten. With events taking place in March across the area, in venues ranging from village halls to local pubs, there is sure to be one on your doorstep.
Gerard Fawcitt, from the hospice’s fundraising team, said: “I absolutely love this time of year. Spring is in the air and we see dozens of Big Breakfast events spring up all over North Devon. It is something our local community has really embraced and over the coming weeks we have a host of breakfast events ready to welcome the whole community in. It’s a wonderfully easy way for people to show their support, because you simply drop in for a delicious breakfast and make a donation for what you’ve eaten, every pound of which helps the hospice care for local people. What could be better than that?”
Gerard added: “Whether it’s just a bowl of cereal or a full-English, go along to your local Big Breakfast event and you will be helping North Devon Hospice provide our essential care. The only reason we are able to support thousands of patients and families every year is because of the generosity of local people, so we hope that everyone in North Devon will get behind this event and go along to their local Big Breakfast.”
Philip Dennis Foodservice is once again sponsoring Big Breakfast, as part of their long-standing support of North Devon Hospice. Sue Mills, Marketing Manager at Philip Dennis, said: “Big Breakfast is a wonderful community event, not only because it brings people together, but also because it raises funds for North Devon Hospice, which is a cause dear to our hearts at Philip Dennis. Many of our staff know first-hand just how vital their care is. Big Breakfast is a great chance to get together with family, friends, neighbours and colleagues to enjoy some delicious food together. We are proud to be involved again and hope everyone across North Devon joins in by attending their local Big Breakfast.”
