Are you a professional Procurement Manager?

We are seeking a professional and approachable Procurement Manager to lead our Procurement team. Responsible for managing the ordering and supply chain process for our range of Chilled, Ambient and Frozen products. You will review our processes for improvement on a continuous basis, proactively identifying cost efficiencies and instigating best practice wherever possible. With accountability for managing our multi-depot stock control, you will monitor delivery issues and out of stock incidents (sourcing alternative products where appropriate) to ensure a consistent and high quality service for our customers, communicating with all relevant internal contacts as required.

You will develop strong and collaborative working relationships with external suppliers and internal departments to grow opportunities for the business. You will develop and monitor a suite of KPIs to measure the department’s performance against and implementing improvements where possible. With responsibility for line managing the team’s Procurement Agents you will be confident leading a team and have the ability to motivate effectively to promote excellent results.

With excellent IT skills and ideally a good working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics you will oversee the implementation of system changes as required.

We’re looking for a proactive individual with the ability to work on their own initiative to solve problems. You will have exceptional attention to detail and a drive for finding the best possible way of doing things. Adept at managing projects, you’re happy juggling multiple tasks at once and responding flexibly to an ever-changeable workload – the ability to prioritise and think on your feet is key. You’ll demonstrate a clear and concise communication style, and the ability to relate to people at all levels.

With experience in the foodservice or FMCG sector you’ll have demonstrable knowledge of purchasing systems and warehouse management systems in addition to the ability to remain calm under pressure. You’re commercially savvy with excellent IT skills and the ability to learn new systems quickly . Previous experience of working within the foodservice or FMCG sector with sound knowledge of purchasing systems, warehouse management systems and working within a multi-depot purchasing and supply chain role are essential, with experience of Microsoft Dynamics and MRP systems being advantageous. The post holder will be required to travel to other depots and therefore must hold a full, clean UK driving licence and have the flexibility to work in our various regional offices, as required.
