The Company:

Philip Dennis Foodservice is a well-established family business distributing Chilled, Ambient, Frozen and Non-Food goods, as well as Fresh Butchery and Fresh Fish products to customers throughout Oxfordshire, the Midlands and the South West of England.

The Role:

We’re seeking a meticulous Purchasing Commercial Administrator to join our growing team. Reporting to the Head of Procurement, the successful candidate will be responsible for owning and managing master data on our systems whilst ensuring new and current products are set up and maintained in line with company procedures. You will also be required to maintain excellent commercial awareness while providing administrative support to the Head of Purchasing, Buyers and Purchasers. With a keen eye for detail, you will not only be responsible for performing regular data reviews and data cleanses but you will also manage documentation for new products, process promotional pricing and changes, collate fines against suppliers and report on KPIs on a weekly basis.

As an excellent communicator, you will work collaboratively with other departments to support with queries and provide support where required. You will also play a key role in supporting our data migration to the Dynamics system.

What you’ll need to succeed:

With previous experience in an administrative role, you will have advanced knowledge of Microsoft office packages including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. With an analytical mind, you will be a natural problem solver and always strive for solutions. With excellent attention to detail, you will have good numeracy skills and the ability to identify inaccuracies in large volumes of data, even when working to tight deadlines. You’re adept at communicating with individuals at all levels in both written and spoken English and have a proactive approach to work with the ability to work on your own initiative.

Whilst not essential, experience in food or FMCG industries would be desirable, as would knowledge of AS400/Microsoft Dynamics.
